This Week in Design: Photography, Lawn Care & a Whole Lot of Creativity

One of my favorite things about being a designer is never knowing what kind of project is going to land in my inbox next. This week? I had the chance to work on two completely different (but equally fun) design jobs: a t-shirt line for a talented photographer, and a logo for a lawn care business run by two awesome kids.
First up—Tim Hilbourn Photography out of Whiteville, NC. Tim is known for capturing real, beautiful moments—especially family & senior portraits—and I wanted the t-shirt design to reflect that same feeling. We pulled inspiration from his signature warm, natural style. The final design feels timeless and personal, just like Tim’s photos. It’s always a bonus when I get to work with fellow creatives who are passionate about their craft.
And then there’s Wood Brothers Lawn Care. This project seriously made my day. Two brothers—one a redhead with a mower, the other blonde and wielding a weed wacker—teamed up to start their own lawn care business. I mean, come on… how cute is that? I created a playful, bold logo that captures their personalities and gives them a professional edge. It’s bright, fun, and perfect for their business cards, yard signs, and maybe even t-shirts down the road.
Designing for local businesses is my favorite part of what I do. Whether you’re launching your dream or growing something great, I love helping people bring their brands to life through custom logos, apparel, and print design.
If you're a small business owner, side hustler, or just have an idea you’re ready to run with—let’s make it happen.
Until next time,
Holly 🤍
