Designing the logo for Lowcountry Nerd was a creative adventure from start to finish! This unique brand specializes in drone photography and landscape videography in Murrells Inlet, Pawleys Island, and the beautiful South Carolina Lowcountry — and we wanted the logo to capture both the techy and coastal personality behind it.

🦤 A Nerdy Pelican with Coastal Vibes

We chose a pelican as the mascot — iconic to the coast — and gave him a fun twist: glasses, a backwards cap, and a laptop in hand while chilling in a beach chair. It’s the perfect visual for a brand that blends laid-back charm with digital creativity. The character gives off friendly, curious energy while clearly signaling the “nerd” in Lowcountry Nerd.

🌊 A Bold, Playful Look

The typography is modern, bold, and playful, using bright blues and golden tones that mirror the ocean, sky, and sunshine. The custom illustration makes the logo stand out, especially for video intros, social media icons, and branded thumbnails. It’s built to be as scroll-stopping as their drone content.
