Behind the Design: Printing for the Myrtle Beach Professional Firefighters & Grand Strand Brewing’s “Jobtown Red Ale”

Getting to work on meaningful projects is one of my favorite parts of running Holly K. Design Co., and this one was extra special.

Recently, I had the opportunity to print signage for a collaboration between the Myrtle Beach Professional Firefighters and Grand Strand Brewing Company. Together, they launched a new red ale called Jobtown—a smooth, smoky brew made with smoked malts that perfectly captures the heart and grit of the fire service.

As a former firefighter myself, this project hit close to home. “Jobtown” isn’t just a catchy name. It’s a term deeply rooted in the fire service. It represents a place where the work is constant, the calls keep coming, and firefighters live for the next chance to serve. It's not just a job—it's a calling, and “Jobtown” is where that calling never takes a break.

Designing and printing signs for this release was more than a task on my to-do list—it was a full-circle moment. Supporting my brothers and sisters in the fire service and helping them bring this unique collaboration to life was an honor.
